Vale 335113 Robert (Bob) John O’Neill AO, MID, FASSA – 5RAR

It is with sadness that I advise of the passing of Bob O’Neill on Wednesday, 19th April.

Bob joined the Australian Army in January 1955, graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1958,and from 1958 to 1969, served as an officer in the Regular Australian Army, during which time as an infantry captain he was Mentioned in Despatches during the Vietnam War.

He wrote the Official History of the Korean War.

No funeral details have been advised.
