One dark night near Vietnam, USS Missouri steamed towards a USN minesweeper. Thinking an enemy ship may be approaching, the tiny minesweeper signalled “Identify yourself, or we will open fire.” After a pause, the battleship responded “USS Missouri. Fire at Will.”
