THE KOREAN WAR: ANZAC DAY 2023

JUNE 25, 1950, and the ARMISTICE SIGNED, JULY 27 1953

As we approach the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice on July 27, 2023, the 18,000 Australians who served in Korea in between 1950 and 1953, will be remembered on ANZAC DAY.

Of all of those who enlisted, 342 paid the supreme sacrifice, of whom, 43 were classified as ‘missing in action’ (MIA) and presumed dead plus some 1200 casualties.

Still today, the defence attaches at the Australian Consulate in Seoul, search to find the graves of our MIA heroes.

I was honoured this morning to represent my comrades of the ‘Forgotten War’, by shooting an ANZAC DAY promotional video with: Dr. Robert Webster OAM….President RSL Victoria

Kevin Sheedy, past coach of the Essendon Football Club, the man responsible for the annual ‘SOLD-OUT’ blockbuster Collingwood V Essendon AFL game at the MCG, on ANZAC DAY.

Lest We Forget
