Lithium Batteries in the Sun – Warning!

Another GPS was placed in its bracket on the dashboard of a car and left in the sun.

The lithium battery overheated and exploded!

The damage caused is extensive and will cause the vehicle to be written off.

With summer approaching in Oz, looks like a good lesson to learn.

If allowed to overheat this also applies to mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, and other devices that use lithium batteries.
