KILCOY DIGGERS Race Dates: 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023
After the recent flooding, the word from Kilcoy is the track is drying out nicely and the grass is finally being mowed on a regular timetable. After the major flood event, there was more water over part of the track on two further occasions. It’s envisaged the surface will be back to racing condition for the race day in three weeks
See the info below for your diaries. The highlighted days require max numbers with 3 – 4 for the weekdays
Sunday 3 July 2022 – with the absence of recent racing, this day should see a big crowd in attendance, more so with the Free Entry
Tuesday 26 July
Saturday 27 August – Veterans Raceday including Kilcoy Cup & Vietnam Veterans Cup
Tuesday 25 October
Saturday 26 November – Xmas Cup (including KilDigs Xmas Party)
Tuesday 13 December
Thursday 12 January 2023
Thursday 26 January – Australia Day & Kilcoy Gift Pro Foot Races
Tuesday 21 March
Thursday 4 May – Diggers Cup (to be confirmed)
Sunday 4 June – Kilcoy Cup
Thursday 29 June
Depending on numbers, it’s planned to have a Lamb on the Spit for the Xmas Cup meeting
As usual, we’re always looking to welcome new folk to our group, whether or not they can assist over 2 – 3 days setting up, or only on race day. Of course, a try before you buy option is available. So, if you know of anyone who may be interested in helping out, please encourage their attendance. Please distribute/forward widely as you see fit
Finally, there are still some polo shirts available which I’ll bring along for Sunday 3 July
Cheers
Rod Slater
PS: we are not a RAR Club as we have a former Medic, a Spanner plus family friends and relatives counted in our number
