I am home

After 7+ weeks of travelling in our caravan, we are home. Now comes a couple of days of removing mud and red dust from the van and the same from the 4×4.

We had a wonderful trip visiting historical pubs in out of the way places at times. We travelled from Tweed Heads down the east coast to Sydney, then west to Bathurst to escape the rain that we had in the 2+ weeks prior, we worked our way down to Albury then along the Murray Valley Hwy crossing the border of NSW & VIC numerous times. We reach Mildura and went on to Dareton to the Raymon Deed Veterans Retreat … wonderful 5 days there. We then turned north up the NSW & SA border over some tracks called roads!! We worked our way to Lightning Ridge over the next 5 days … Telstra let us down so many times. While at the ridge we visited 3 pubs in the scrub … a must-do for anyone visiting the Ridge.

We travelled along the NSW & QLD border heading home, we free camped behind the Sandy Creek Pub 8k outside Warwick, what a fabulous pub and the publican, Kev, was a terrific bloke, it’s a place that we will make a return visit. That was our last night we returned home today.

I will spend the next two days cleaning and making some repairs to our van, so please continue to bear with me, I will post again very soon.

Cheers

Ray & Julie
