CPL Matthew Reid – Hassett Award

Congratulations to CPL Matthew Reid of The 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, for being this year’s recipient of the Hassett Award. Each year, a distinguished panel selects the RAR’s most outstanding junior leader. Through the RAR Foundation, the presentation is made by the Governor-General of Australia at Government House.

CPL Reid was selected for his leadership as a Section Commander during 1 RAR’s support to the Kabul evacuation in Afghanistan in 2021.
