VALE: 215967 JOHN TEMPEST AND 1204910 THOMAS BERE
Sadly, a check of the Last Post Section of the December 21 Issue of the QLD RSL News found 2 former members we didn’t know had passed away:
- 215967 John Patrick Kenneth TEMPEST – 6 RAR 1st tour Jun 66-Jun 67. John’s death was reported by the Greenbank RSL Sub Branch.
- 1204910 Thomas BERE – Thomas (Tom) served in 6 RAR, possibly B Coy in the mid 1970’s before transferring to RACMP and was attached to 6 RAR as an MP at least once for deployment to Rifle Company Butterworth (RCB). Tom’s death was reported by the Redcliffe RSL Sub Branch.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a date of death for either but have emailed the 2 Sub Branches for more information which will be passed on, if received.
Please join with us in offering our deepest sympathy to those who will mourn the passing of a loved one. 6 RAR family members, taken too soon.
LEST WE FORGET
