Passed away peacefully with family by his side on 29th of October 2021. Aged 75 Years.
Cherished Husband of Julie. Father of Gavin & Derek. Stepfather of Kerry & Scott. Father-In-Law of Hanna. Pop to Lara & Sami Grandpa to Raquel, Natalie and Ryan. Great Grandpa to Bethany and Charlie. Brother to Janine. Uncle, respected Serviceman & friend to many.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held at the Southport Church of Christ, Cnr Olsen Ave & Griffith Sts; Southport on Thursday the 4th of November 2021 commencing at 10.30am.
In lieu of flowers donations to Southport RSL sub-branch is appreciated.
John,
You were larger than life with a heart of gold. Although we only saw each other infrequently I knew I was always in for a laugh and a drink or two at any Reunion we were attending. Proud to have known you since 1964.

Well mate, we never got to get that boat of yours back in the water, in time for this next trip, however Farmer never got his bike back on the road again and he has made it up to the big Boiler Room in the sky. Behave yourself up there and save me a spot for a great reunion of great Stokes, you were one of the best.
