JOCK ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL POPPY SERVICE
From Eileen Armstrong… In loving memory of Gordon Henry Armstrong aka Jock, the Big Fella, Sensei, papa, brother and son, we welcome you to join us for a ‘Poppy Memorial Service’ as we raise a wee (or not so wee) dram and celebrate dads’ life.
The service will be held in Townsville on Saturday the 29th January 2022, at the Mecure Hotel, 166-194 Woolcock Street Service Rd, Townsville, at 11:30am.
For any current and past military servicemen/women, we encourage you to proudly wear your service medals, and for those who are partial to some tartan, to kilt up. We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the service, and please note, that we will do our best to stream this for the overseas contingency, so stay tuned. We look forward to seeing you and please do share this and help us get the word out.

Was Jock a member of the Royal Australian Regiment?The reason for asking is that we, Dad’s Army, hold a service the first Monday of every month to honour those recently deceased who were members of the Regimental Family.
